Provo canyon with Larry and Paul. We took it very easy the first two miles (10:58, 10:54) then Kevin and I picked up the pace some heading up (9:24, 9:15, 9:07). I felt pretty good on the way back down (7:57, 7:49, 8:15, 8:10, 7:55).

Added a mile later in the day to make it an even 29 (oops - intended to make it 30) for the week.

OK so the 5 marathon pace miles were not really marathon pace but were certainly faster and harder than the 6 other "easy" miles.

First ran 5 with Paul at 8:30 overall pace up Provo Canyon, then ran 6 miles with Larry, Wayne and Paul at a slower pace of 9:30ish.

Added a mile later in the day to make it an even 30 for the week.

AZ 8 Mile Electrified Route

Ran a steady pace of  8:12 for the 8.3 mile course. It was about as flat as they come, running along a very straight gravel canal road from Gilbert into Tempe AZ. Finished tired and a bit hot (temps were upper 50s) but not too wasted.

Hiked for 3 miles with all the family in South Mountain State Park in Tempe. It would not have been worth counting except for the fact that Jack was on my back as we climbed the mountain ridges for the whole way out.  All in all, a fun hike.

Took Katy to an early morning soccer game in Lehi and ran along the Jordan River Trail while she warmed up.

Temps were in the 30s which made for decent running weather but cold soccer watching. I pushed the pace and averaged 7:42 for the 6 miles.

Ran a modified Lindon loop with Dash at about an 8:15 pace.

Temps started out at 39 and dropped to 35 with a minor bit of hail during the run. It is now snowing pretty good as I write this but not much is sticking.
