Ran 5 miles with Larry and Paul. Good run. Bit of a slow pace. Paul said we were at 10:30 /mile.

Weather was cold (28 degrees) despite the highs being near 50 during the day.

Lindon 4 Mile

Did the loop twice today. Once in the morning with Paul and Larry and later in the evening with Lizzy. Needless to say, the evening run was faster.

 Lindon 5 Mile

Good run with Paul at sub 9:00/mile pace. Temps weren't too bad - probably in the 30s.

Good run up the canyon with Paul, Larry, and Wayne. Felt good the whole time running at an average of 9:00+ min/mile pace. Had a couple of faster miles coming down the canyon at 8:30, 8:00 and even 7:05 for the last mile to the mouth of the canyon.

Got out solo this morning with Dash. Paul was probably out also, but I got out just a few minutes too late and I'm sure we took different paths. I pushed it hard for the first mile and a half to catch Paul if he were on the same route but I don't think he was.

Lindon 4 Mile

Ran solo with Dash this morning because Paul's sick. I got out late and decided to make it a short, quick run. The course is fairly flat and I ran it averaging 8:00 min/mile pace. Not too impressive except that I ran the first mile in 9:00 minutes, the second (slightly uphill) at 8:30 pace, then a 7:40 mile and a 6:50 mile. I only felt fast the third mile because of the slight downhill but even though I felt slow, I knew I was pushing the pace pretty good for the last mile because I was working so hard. I feel I shouldn't have to work this hard to run such mediocre mile splits. It is faster than I have been running in the last 18 months though.

I can always tell I am running faster than average when Dash starts lagging behind me. I was pulling him most of the last two miles.

I bought Lizzy some new running shoes yesterday and hopefully she will get out with me later today to try them out.

Lindon 6 mile

Ran solo with Dash in pretty good weather. Temp was at 36 degrees and it was light by the time I finished. Just took it easy and averaged 8:50 min/mile for the course with no real fast nor slow miles.Didn't see many people out running. I was wishing that I had borrowed Lizzy's ipod to run with. Music would have been a nice addition to a dark solo run.

Weather today is supposed to get into the 60s. That should be great. Maybe Liz will run with me later after her US History Exam.

started out with Wayne, Paul and Larry. The first 6 miles were quite easy as we ran from the neighborhood up to Nunn's Park in Provo Canyon. Paul and Wayne turned back to catch up with Larry. Paul suggested that I would catch them easily but I knew it would be a challenge because I was covering an extra 2.5 miles which would take me an extra 20 minutes or so to complete at an 8:00 pace. To make matters worse, the trail was not maintained beyond the parking lot at Bridal Veil park and so even though I was running at an 8:00 min pace (when I was running), it cost me an extra 2 minutes to carefully walk through some really icy sections where I almost turfed it even at a snail's pace.

Anyway - from where I turned back, I soon switched sides over closer to the highway and ran 3 miles at about a 7:15 pace. From there, I pretty much gave up at catching the other guys and struggled to maintain a 9:00 min pace from then on in.

Took an interesting run along Oakey Ave. in Las Vegas. It's a quasi-residential road that doesn't get too much traffic early in the morning. Ran to the base of the mountains to the north and back.

Pushed a 9:00 min/mile pace on the way out and a 7:50 pace on the return. It wasn't till I turned around that I realized that it was a light uphill grade the whole way north. Averaged 8:20 min/mile overall

Paul and I ran a figure 8 route through Lindon that got in a bit of hills. We had strong winds and a bit of snow. Pace was around 9:00 min/mile.

Paul (on his birthday) and Larry (on his anniversary) got out late for an easy 4 miles at a pace north of 10:30 min/mile I'm thinking.

Fairly poor conditions for running. It was cold and windy. Larry, Paul and I started out at the mouth of the canyon and uncharacteristically headed south along the Provo River trail. Pace was at 10+

Much better than nothing.

Ran a cold and windy route to the Golf course and back. Had a pit stop at the cemetery fields and had to run hard for 2 miles to catch Paul who continued on with Dash. The last 2 miles were at 7:20 pace. The first 4 were at 8:50ish pace. I started out tired but I'm still feeling the run so I guess that makes it a good one.

Thx Paul ;-)

Got out a bit late and ran the Lindon 6 mile loop backwards till I caught up with Paul. Because I was short of the full run I added some additional distance after I left Paul.
